Toddler Crushed To Death Under Car In Pader

In a tragic incident, a one-and-a-half-year-old baby was last evening run over by a car in Lawai Zone B, Pader Town Council, Pader district. The deceased has been identified as Amaro Rwot Lucky.

Reports indicate that the driver, now in police custody, had parked near his home to change into sportswear for football training at Paipir Playground.

Upon returning, he allegedly drove off without noticing the child had crawled under the car registration number UBP 193A, crushing her to death.

The driver has been identified as Kalange Yakubu.

Joe Oloya, the acting Aswa East regional police spokesperson, confirmed the unfortunate incident.

According to police crime report 2023, Aswa East registered a total of 205 cases of road crashes with 61 fatal, 110 serious and 34 minor’s crashes.
